Remade in Edinburgh aims to teach people how to repair and reuse everyday household objects, such as furniture, computers and clothes.
Stephanie and the staff of The Edinburgh Remakery will be demonstrating how to convert a framed glass surface into a Smart Mirror.
The Smart Mirror will function as a normal mirror, but will also display information about current weather conditions and the current time and date in a set location, and will be controlled using a Raspberry Pi device.
Stephanie said: “By making use of second-hand computer monitors and old glass frames, we will be able to demonstrate how to reuse old materials to build an interactive frame and project different information to your bathroom or bedroom mirror, saving these from going to waste.”
Meet Stephanie and learn how to build a Smart Mirror at the Edinburgh Mini Maker Faire on Sunday 16 April. Get your tickets now.
